Late in November, I got a call from Agnes Scott College asking if I’d be interested in doing a Christmas video e-card that would be e-mailed out to all of their Alumnae. I hadn’t done anything like this before, but as soon as I was told there would be puppies involved, I was all in! My team was reticent because of the old saying that children and animals can be difficult to work with. No matter, I was going for it.
The video is the story of one Scottish Terrier (the Agnes Scott mascot) and her search for a bigger and better world…across campus.
We shot on two seperate days, first with Piper, and secondly with a group of puppies. Piper was a star! She did a great job, with the help of her owner, who was always nearby with treats in hand. But as the day drew close to an end, and we only had a few shots left, Piper became obsessed with a fountain springing out of a small reflecting pool. Everyone was laughing and enjoying the fun and funny moment until she couldn’t resist and jumped in the pool! Watch her take the plunge!
We had what we needed for that day, so no big deal and after working with a group of rambunctious and funny pups for a second day, it was time to start editing. Right before Christmas the message went out and immediately got positive feedback from Agnes Scott Alumnae around the country. We achieved the goal of providing some holiday cheer with a sense of pride as well.
