Wow! What a year this has been?! 2012 was easily our best year yet at Mixed Bag Media. We moved to a new, larger office (right next to our old one), I transitioned to using DSLR cameras on almost every shoot, we started working with some new clients and made some new friends too. We traveled a bit less for work this past year, but did however, have a few good trips to New Jersey, where we visited part of the famous boardwalk that sadly was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy; and to St. Louis, where we shot in the City Museum, one of the coolest places I’ve ever been in my life. Starting this year off with a trip to Orlando, FL during the second week of January wasn’t too bad either.
With the economy not rebounding like people hoped it would, video has quickly become THE way to communicate most effectively. My team and I excel at helping our clients figure out which style works best for what they want to communicate, and then creating great looking results.
On a personal note, one thing that was exciting for me to wrap up last year; I got a piano! Like so many people, I took lessons as a kid, but did not stick with it through my teen or college years. By playing other instruments and just being a huge music fan, my love for the sound of a piano has remained. Finally, with the help of my mother, I was able to get one that I can now call my own. I’m not very good…yet, but so far, playing the theme from Rocky in addition to Singin’ In The Rain sure has been fun.
